icondis optic    > this is business related so I will remove as soon as suitable base is fabricated for an otherwise excellent high speed method of taking very high quality images of, say, text books, rapidly, for teaching the young, motivated youth who otherwise might not be able to realize their own aspirations and hopes for a better future, somewhere, out there, away from tigers and things.

Dr. Giorgio Lolli, M.D. Quarterly Journal of Studies on Alcohol ___ Laboratory of Applied Physiology, Yale University, 1956 - UPDATED.

You can now pull up Dr. Lolli's published research paper and download. Each page is .jpg for now but a word version and pdf will soon follow.

You can do the same, easy create a pdf or a file which can be scanned and then copy and pasted direct from Microsoft Edge browser..

If you take each page, perhaps you scanned, each separate jpg and then make a pdf that is SEARCHABLE, then OPEN that pdf searchable file, I use Kofax Power PDF and have for may years.  It is a one time purchase - non of this "rental garbage" When you have made the "Searchable pdf FROM THE JPG I always include this,  xyz file name _K_  in the new searchable file name so I can know which file is "searchable."  Ex: ie.,'' xxx now is the time -K-.pdf '''  using MICROSOFT EDGE, that is, "OPEN WITH" xxx

Then the document will be open in the Edge browser and you can copy and paste directly into MS Word or WordPerfect which I find to be Super Good when you want to get close to publishing type documents..  Microsoft about 18 months ago bought the software packagte that was an excellent OCR reader from a scan of a document. At the moment I have forgot the name of that commercial software package.  But I paid like around $350. for it.  Worked great and is still good for if you have essentially batch files.  But for most tasks what MS has come up with is excellent. And you will be able to copy and paste the drawing, or photos, etc.  And if you use MS paint.net  (note, it's .net) depending on the quality of the scan - you can get really good results. About 95 tp 97% accuracy from perviously typed or published documents, etc..  If, for instance, you are wanting to make scanned copies of text out of a medical student book  (or any tech book) which also has pictures and diagrams - those will also show up in the scan.  What I do is use TechSmith's Snagit (and have for about 20 years) to snag the photos, illustrations, etc. The latest version of TechSmith Snagit is Ver 2024.0.0 (Build 265) (Direct2D 1.1) - 0/20/2023 [I think that date is my installation date. Global Leader in Screen Recording and Screen Capture | TechSmith

I have been using Snagit since the late 1990s when I used it extensively in my engineering work. Today's version comes with complete comprehensive editor and also video capabilities.  I have used this "autobiography-blog" and https://thevaccine.net  for the sole purpose of being a serious vehicle in which to learn html and css (and soon JS) BY DOING!  I know in engineering school there were always some students who could look at a complex equation, might be in Calculus mode, or Matrix, etc., but they can conceptualize, that is, internally form the picture of the concepts being expressed in the math form.  Those types it seems most often go into the research department or teach at colleges, universities, etc.  But for most mortals and earthlings it is WORK PROBLEMS. And you are told this often since that is the bottom line, again, unless you are not of this world in one form or another.

And don't get to thinking you can't do it yourself, that is - taking on the LEARNING EXPERIENCE which is for me A LIFE OF LEARNIGN, because you've because you done got yourself old. You're thinking nogin is the cerebral cortex portion of the brain, for those who have them and they are more or less intact.  The exception, if you are a good observer, is the political species amongst us, the Breed called poleticians.  They, these politicians think with the "old brain" down along the brain stem.  It's the part of the brain Freud called The ID. The "ID is a contraction (shortening of a word, etc) deriving from the Latin word, idiot.  So there you have it. Why this planet is in real big trouble.

I've done it, done growd ME old, that is.  But I've done OK learning this WEB PROGRAMING STUFF and I started out with used books and I bought them most all through abebooks.com [owned by Amazon the Great ] (typically for less than $7.in 2023-October23 @ 7:30am Chicago time CONSTANT DOLLARS and this also included medical books such as relates to cardiology for like $8.00 for a text which cost some medical student $100 and ^ just 5 or 10 years ago.  and using youtube.com thousands of excellent video tutorials. You might want to argue that a medical text book, or calculus text, etc., becomes obsolete after 5 to 10 years.  Well you'd be wrong and here is the reason.  The essentials, the things you must know, just don't change that much.  Technology does, refinement wise. Transistors replaced vaccume tubes in the EKG machines.  Then LSI (Large Scale Integratee circuits) replaced discrete (and let us always be that unless we can't help otherwise) transistors, and mosfet, jfet individual components. Then along came the Intel 4004 sub-microprocessor which was great to automate sewing machines.  That very LSI chip crammed thousands of the equivalent of discrete components into a "wafer", usually vanilla. Along each step of the way, essentially the same function was being performed.

For an EEG machine or EKG (the second one measuring heart waves (the heat electro-mechanical of sort action, often called the heart cycle, and brain waves were they are strong enough to be picked up by sensitive "sensors." For defective humans and sub-humans (such as Byden and Nuulunz - whom I believe identifies as female - when in motion - there is generally not enough real "activity" to generate anything of sufficient electical amplitude to register anything other than "a dead response activity."  I don't include include someone such as the Omlet man, Blunkin or the other one of the gang, Sullivan, as they've at least got them legitimate high academic achievements whch bear witness to better than average high cortex bursts of electrical activity with on and off high bursts which do result in IDEAS for better or worse.

Well the point I was making before drifting off-course goes back to El Freedos Pareto (from which we got Fredolays potato chips) is that a ten year old medical book, say for instance, Guyton's Text Book of Medical Physiology is going to have 80% (+/(-) about 10%  the same core information, and more than just core, as the more recent 14th Ed.  And in the case of say, calculus, chemistry, physics (excepting the Quantum world) biology, etc., the difference between a 2024  publication and a 2014 publication just isn't very much.

Amendment #2  Here's my take on this one.  I am all for an almost literal interpretation of the Constitution. I do think that we the people should be guided by what the Founding Fathers were wanting.  I think the Founding Fathers wanted every able bodied man to have the right to be in possession of a good working Musket  with a big enough charge to fire a 50 Cal. ball out the long barrel (for better accuracy) to hit some Indian (Native to the land the white man took over by force and I don't know how else it could be accomplished.) In those days there was also cannon, big and small ones.  I don't recall the 1st Bill of Rights clarifying just what The Right to Bear Arms actually meant.  But I think to ''bear'' meant more "to carry on their ''persons'' to use in the event engagement was necessary.  To "keep" the musket above the fire place to be ready to use if danger came about.  I don't think the Founding Fathers ever expected or intended that INDIVIDUALS should possess cannons in their home or on their property.  Saying, "a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security ... etc., directly associates the purpose of the arms and that being "to form a Militia when necessary to secure the State (capital S).

The way I read it is that heavy weapons such as cannon - were associated with the State, to be held in Armroes by the State but it was never envisioned that idividuals wold keep "State weapons, tools of the State Militia" for personal use.  I am certain that the Founders never saw a need of a cannon to hunt dear with, much less protect one's self form wild Indians (American version).

Bottom line for me:  I don't see any justification or legal type argument that condones machine guns or M16 Vietnam equiped weapons of war in anyone's house or apartment.  Unless people really do think that the society is going to collapse which will result in mass chaos and killing such as the 1994 Rwandan genocide against the Tutsi minority tribes.  Huge number of Tutsi victims there were, some estimates as high as a million.  But be reasonable.  Even in that situation what could you as an individual trying to protect your family from the hordes of rioters deterinined to loot and kill most everyone - just what good would your AK47 do you?

You might mow down the first wave.  But what then?  And if your society HAS collapsed - you are quickly going to find yourself and those of your dependents - out of food, out of heat (if winter) out of electricity, and out of candels quickly, and you are going to (depending on your brains level of electrical thinking spiks) find out fast just what is meant by THE DIVISION OF LABOR.  Because your existence as a society in essentially totally dependent on the continued funcitoning of THE DIVISION OF LABOR within the society. You're Militia cannot function more than a few weeks without support of this Division of Labor. General of the Army, five star Eisenhower in his Crusade of Europe - spelled out the importance of LOGISTICS in winning not just D-day but the follow ups.  It is a DIVISION OF LABOR, SPECIALIZED within an army - that enables an army to fight - to engage an enemy.

You get the gist.  I will also add that because the 2nd Amendment does not specify the nature of the armanents - it is a STATE perogative to decide what will and what will not be permitted as to type of weapon which the person may "bear."

--- It's 9:10 am Chicago time, USA.  I'll continue with this free associaton, rambling is a better description, and the nice thing about having your own website, in the USA we do, at lest for a while longer, we do have the Bill of Rights and the first is #1 Freedom of Religion (which does also incorporate freedom FROM religion) , Speech, and the Press

[Oh, and I will tell yousomething else which you might probably already know. If you are hankering to get you some kind of Diploma, say in a techncial fields such as engineering, mathematics, chemistry, etc., you can pick up a great deal and work for ADVANCED COLLEGE PLACEMENT via YOUTUBE and get just about all you need (80% more or less, following Pareto's fundamental 80/20 Rule (check that out with Google.com  In my day, now many decades far away, you could get you a Diploma that had an early PAYBACK - such as ENGINEERING - statistial math, etc.,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiiuN9eAy9Y Some of these tutors go too fast for me.  What do I do?  For years now - I have used TEMI.com to make excellent transcriptions, into Word, PDF and text.  By the way, you want to always include the text, ASCII, printout becasue if you incorporate the text of the tutorial into a code program - you don't want to put the various word processing code and stuff into your code. I download the tutorial using SnapDownloader which is excellent.  In the early part of 21st century I used the China DVDFab which do great.  But the newest version is not worth a hoot, in my opinion.  I still have the 2007 version on an old Vista laptop and use that for "batch" type jobs.

You want to really learn web coding but feel you are too old? I started out with step one in learning to post "Hello World"  You take it one step at a time.  You can purchase complete tutorials at reasonable cost.  That is what I would recommend doing.  Have a structured approach.  Do all the coding using somethign like MS VS Code or CoffeeCup, or really to it right from the start and download Notepad++  and actually YOU write the raw code yourself.

I have a Patreon accounts with https://www.patreon.com/kevinpowell  and with

https://www.patreon.com/chidrestechtutorials    I first went with Kevin Powell back around 2007 and have hundreds of his tutorials.  They are complete courses.  I pay $20. per month USD and have no complaints.  The other choice for me (and this tutor I recommend for non-English students as this tutor is Indian and goes a slow even pace [which Kevin does too in his comprehensive earlier courses, all of which are on youtube.com. I have been to India a number of times and English with an admixture of Indian Hindi-Bengali-Sancrit-Tamil and who knows what all else plus British English make for a nice melody of sounds which stays with you.

Chidre's English is excellent, however. For Childre's Tech Tutorials I pay him $15 USD monthly direct.  Childre offers in the same package some high level software such as C++ which if you master I don't think you would have much problem with obtaining work - especially if you also add to the bowel EXCEL, ACCESS, POWERPOINT and Microsoft Visual Basic.  But be prepared to put in about 2,000 hours before you get really proficient at C++ and equally that amount of time with the MS Office package.

I started out on Fortran IV back when NASA tried to go to the moon using helicopters.  C++, an enhanced C, since around MID 1980s.  I don't know if Kevin ever offered it but Childre does along with many other somewhat esoteric courses.

I had to learn Fortran IV as part of the requirement for a degree in engineering (EE).  When I went to school my high tech calculator was the K&E Slide Rule.  HP Calculators swept that slippery slide rule into my memorabilia box.  Be aware that the same thing is happening today in this form:  So much of the work that power EEs did in the 1950s ---> 1990s period such as system stabilities, load calculations, etc, is all done now with packaged "canned" software.  There is NO SUCH THING AS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE.  You can call highly sophisticated software packages and systems "artificial intelligence"  but each decision step, each ''if, then" is still a line of code.  You are not (I won't say never) you are not going to find "intuitive thinking" in any sofware today.  Medical science does not YET know how actually MEMORY is stored.  The mechanism.  Human memory also has to be "refreshed" akin to dynamic memory of mosfet, jfet devises vs the older but very much faster static bipolar (transistor npn or (most times, pnp) devices.

It is late again.  I will conclude with this.  Old age does not have to be a restriction or barrier to learning new things.  I'm hitting near 80 now but I haven't slowed down.  When working for The MAN I very often put in long hours and always was on-call.  I started out with a plan to work in as many divisions as I could. You see, variety really is a spice of life.  But so is learning new things. With a love of learning you will never be bored.

Healthwide - I regularly check my B1, thiamine levels and go for the high end.  Same with D (actually a hormone).  I hope to add a separate blog section I will call "The Pill" where I will share what I have learned both from personal experience and also from books. I can't make any recommendations but I can back up what I say by providing the jpg image of the pages suporting what I did and why.

NEW PAGE (2023-OCT-16) LETTERS TO AND FROM AMBAR IN INDIA. BEGINNING IN 1996, A YEARS AFTER MY 2ND VISIT TO INDIA AND THIS TIME TAKING MY WIFE WITH ME. VISIT WAS ABOUT 3 WEEKS, CALCUTTA (NOW KOLKATTA), CHANDRAPURA (PLACE OF THE MOON) IN STATE OF BIHAR, NEW DELHI, AND OFCOURSE THE TAJ, AND OTHER PLACES AS WELL.

Here is the link  Correspondence with my Indian friend, Ambar, from Calcutta. 1996 thru 2023 CORRESPONDENCE

Ambar emailed me today that he had found an additional 500 letters.  That is more than my correspondence with Dr. Harte, excluding his lecture notes to his medical students.  I see now another good opportunity to fine tune my knowledge of css as these letters he has sent via pdf following the scanning.

I will also then post my correspondence with my young friend, now no longer young but successful as a writer which he attributes to my advice regarding career.  I had got to him while working on the  outage at the Chandrapura DVC fossil plant in 1994 and then my return trip in 1995 with my wife, Peggy.

excerts from The PELOPONNESIAN WAR (431 - 404)

Pg 242 BOOK THREE

82 So savage was the progress of this revolution, and it seemed all the more so because it was one of the first which had broken out. Later, of course, practically the. whole of the Hellenic world was convulsed, with rival parties in every state — democratic leaders trying to bring in the Athenians, and oligarchs trying to bring in the Spartans. In peacetime there would have been no excuse and no desire for calling them in, but in time of war, when each party could always count upon an alliance which would do harm to its opponents and at the same time strengthen its own position, it became a natural thing for anyone who wanted a change of govern ment to call in help from outside. In the various cities these revolu tions were the cause of many calamities — as happens and always will happen while human nature is what it is, though there may be different degrees of savagery, and, as different circumstances arise, the general rules will admit of some variety. In times of peace and prosperity cities and individuals alike follow higher standards, because they are not forced into a situation where they have to do what they do not want to do. But war is a stern teacher; in de priving them of the power of easily satisfying their daily wants, it brings most peoples minds down to the level of their actual cir cumstances.

So revolutions broke out in city after city, and in places where the revolutions occurred late the knowledge of what had happened previously in other places caused still new extravagances of revolu tionary zeal, expressed by an elaboration in the methods of seizing power and by unheard-of atrocities in revenge. To fit in with the change of events, words, too, had to change their usual meanings.

What used to be described as a thoughtless act of aggression was now regarded as the courage one would expect to find in a party member; to think of the future and wait was merely another way of saying one was 'a coward; any idea of moderation was just an attempt to disguise one's unmanly character; ability to under stand a question from all sides meant that one was totally unfitted for action.

Fanatical enthusiasm was the mark of a real man, and to plot against an enemy behind his back was perfectly legitimate self defence. Anyone who held violent opinions could always be trusted, and anyone who objected to them becamel_a suspect. To plot successfully was a sign of intelligence, but it was still cleverer to [Civil War in Corcyra 427 pg 243] see that a plot was hatching, If one attempted to provide against having to do either, one was disrupting the unity of the party and acting out of fear of the opposition. In short, it was equally praise worthy to get one's blow in first against someone who was going to do wrong, and to denounce someone who had no intention of doing any wrong at all.

Family relations were a weaker tie than party membership, since party members were more ready to go to any extreme for any reason whatever. These parties were not for med to enjoy the benefits of the established laws, but to acquire power by overthrowing the existing regime; and the members of these parties felt confidence in each other not because ofany fellow ship in a religious communion, but because they were partners in crime. If an opponent made a reasonable speech, the party in power, so far from giving it a generous reception, took every precaution-to see that it had no practical effect.

Revenge was more important than self-preservation. And if pacts of mutual security were made, they were entered into by the two parties only in order to meet some temporary difficulty, and remained in force only so long as there was no other weapon available. When the chance came, the one who first seized it boldly, catching his enemy off his guard, enjoyed a revenge that was all the sweeter from having been taken, not openly, but be cause of a breach of faith. It was safer that way, it was considered, and at the same time a victory won by treachery gave one a title for superior intelligence. And indeed most people are more ready to call villainy cleverness than simple-mindedness honesty. They are proud of the first quality and ashamed of the second.

Love of power, operating through greed and through personal ambition, was the cause of all these evils. To this must be added the violent fanaticism which came into play once the struggle had broken out. Leaders of parties in the cities had programmes which appeared admirable — on one side political equality for the masses, on the other the safe and sound government of the aristocracy — but in professing to serve the public interest they were seeking to win the prizes for themselves. In their struggles for ascendancy nothing was barred; terrible indeed were the actions to which they com mitted themselves, and in taking revenge they went farther still. Here they were deterred neither by the claims of justice nor by . . . [end pg 243]

BOOK THREE pg 244 . . . the interests of the state; their one standard was the pleasure of their own party at that particular moment, and so, either by means of condemning their enemies on an illegal vote or by violently usurping power over them, they were always ready to satisfy the hatreds of the hour. Thus neither side had any use for conscien tious motives; more interest was shown in those who could pro duce attractive arguments to justify some disgraceful action. As for the citizens who held moderate views, they

83 As the result of these revolutions, there was a general deteriora tion of character throughout the Greek world. The simple way of looking at things, which is so much the mark of a noble nature, was regarded as a ridiculous quality and soon ceased to exist. Society had become divided into-two ideologicallyhostile camps, and each side viewed the other with suspicion. As for ending this state of affairs, no guarantee could be given that would be trusted, no oath sworn that people would fear to break; everyone had come to the conclusion that it was hopeless to expect a permanent set tlement and so, instead of being able to feel confident in others, they devoted their energies to providing against being injured them selves. As a rule those who were least remarkable for intelligence showed the greater powers of survival. Such people recognized their own deficiencies and the superior intelligence of their oppon nents; fearing that they might lose a debate or find themselves out-manoeuvred in intrigue by their quick-witted enemies, they boldly launched straight into action; while their opponents, over confident in the belief that they would see what was happening in advance, and not thinking it necessary to seize by force what they could secure by policy, were the more easily destroyed because they were off their guard.

Paragraph 84, Book 3, Certainly it was in Corcyra that there occurred the first examples of the breakdown of law and order. There was the revenge taken in their hour of triumph by those who had in the past been arro gantly oppressed instead of wisely governed; there were the wicked resolutions taken by those who, particularly under the pres. sure of misfortune, wished to escape from their usual poverty and coveted the property of their neighbours ; there were the savage and . . . end pg 244

pg 245 . . . Operations in Sicioy and Greece 429-? . . . pitiless actions into which men were carried not so much for the sake of gain as because they were swept away into an internecine struggle by their ungovernable passions. Then, with the ordinary conventions of civilized life thrown into confusion, human nature, always ready to offend even-where laws exist, showed itselfproud ly in its true colours, as something incapable of controlling passion, insubordinate to the idea of justice, the enemy to anything superior to itself; for, if it had not been for the pernicious power of envy, men would not so have exalted vengeance above innocence and profit above justice. Indeed, it is true that in these acts of revenge on others men take it upon themselves to begin the process of repealing those general laws of humanity which are there to give a hope of salvation to all who are in distress, instead of leaving those laws in existence, remembering that there may come a time when they, too, will be in danger and will need their protection.

8s So, while the people of Corcyra were the first to display in their city the passions of civil war, Eurymedon and the Athenian fleet sailed away. Afterwards the exiled party of the Corcyraeans (about 50o had managed to escape) occupied various fortified posts on the mainland, gained control of the Corcyraean territory across the straits, and used this as a base for making plundering expedi tions against their fellow citizens on the island. Thus they did a lot of damage and caused a serious famine inthe city. They also sent delegates to Sparta and to Corinth to try to get themselves restored to their position in Corcyra. However, their negotiations were unsuccessful and they then, some time later, got together some ships and some mercenary troops and crossed over to the island with a force of about 600 altogether. There they burned their boats, so that there should be no hope left to them except in a final conquest of the country. They then went up to Mount Istone, built themselves fortifications, and proceeded to make attacks on the party inside the city, keeping control of the country districts.

OPERATIONS IN SICILY AND GREECE

86 At the end of this same summer the Athenians sent out twenty ships to Sicily, where the Syracusans and the people of Leontini - - to be continued - The Story of the War in The Ukraine Kingdom between the forces of Justice and Right, The Russian Federal Republic and the Vandals and Barbarians come down from Mount Etna to spill their lava and guts on the innocent citizens of Ukraine, known to the modern historicans as The Americans

As a rule those who were least remarkable for intelligence showed the greater powers of survival. Such people recognized their own deficiencies and the superior intelligence of their opponnents; fearing that they might lose a debate or find themselves out-manoeuvred in intrigue by their quick-witted enemies, they boldly launched straight into action; while their opponents, over confident in the belief that they would see what was happening in advance, and not thinking it necessary to seize by force what they could secure by policy, were the more easily destroyed because they were off their guard.

Rachel Maddcow, I found her book in the discard bin of the give-a-way section at the Salvation Army "thrift store."

end close close sparta div here for now. But this is just the beginning of the jab. What do you think W. Churchill said about all this above. It is really key to knowing why these war freaks are risking Western obliteration even knowing that they have failed in their initial attempt to destroy Russia and to continue to press toward the mark of their high calling of busting up Russia will only end up in their demise

VLADIMIR TAKES ON VLADIMIR.  PROBLEM WITH THAT?  YES. NEITHER ADMIRAL KNOWS HOW TO SWIM

I'll bet the Ukraniana Navy under Second Lord of the Admiralty, Grand Flake of the Fleet Admiral Vladimir the Float Your Boat Sailor knows a thing or two about winning a war without really trying. When you're second best you just have to try harder.

Vlad, when you are second best you have got to GET SMART! https://youtu.be/rEGA7eyWeAA   (  Get Smart Vlad  ) You first have to ask yourself this one question: Who do you actually know who  has you and the Ukrainian people and its nation, Ukraine – its  best interests at heart.  Who has the closest KINDSHIP with Ukraine's People and You?  Joe the Slow Biden from a nation that has destroyed quite a few defensless small nations (you count the numer of them) or your big brother neighbor – Russia?  Who will actually gain the most from a PEACE SETTLEMENT and a joint venture to rebuild your country and in fact – REBUILD IT BETTER than it was before this tragedy was inflicted on you and your country by the United States, an imperialist monstor thousands of miles away from you.

Or Ask yourself this question. Who is doing what to whom?  Who has set you up to be the fall guy.  Who is the real patsy in this fight.  Who stands to lose the most in the end? You?  Because there is going to be THE END. Will it be the Russian Federation who is the loser?  Or will it be you and then how will you be remembered?  Hero or Coward? Do you are about that? Does it matter to you what your people think of your as a leader?  Who has the MOST to GAIN by peace, by an equitable settlement?  You and Pal Joey or You and your fellow Russian speaking Slavic peoples.

Vladimir, think it over.  You have fought  the good fight.  You have kept the faith with your people.  No one will ever doubt either your bravery or the bravery of your armies,  the Ukrainian soldiers – for it is now settled.  They are true warriors. Unvanquished; Courageous and Brave. Hoist the sails high. Catch the direction of the wind and move the rudder into that new direction and give peace a try; begin again and start to rebuild your nation and put an end to this war which brings your country nothing but more widows and fatherless children.

My friend Vladimir, your heart will always be with you in Ukraine. That will never change. Even when you are an old man and no matter where you are - your homeland will always be Ukraine. That land will never be far away from you. For your heart and your memories will always have a home in Ukraine. And that is where your heart will always be.

You do not have to read the Book of Daniel to see the writing on the wall. Rote learning [learning by repetition such as memorizing muliplication tables or in the case of the Chinese or Japanese - writing where you need to learn at least the meaning of 3,000 characters before you can be considered truly literate] DOES NOT connect you to the APPLICATION of what you are striving to learn. Consequently you will NOT form the associations, the connections within your neuron circuitry in the brain to where you will actually learn and retain new knowledge which is attached to previous "old" knowledge. When new knowledge is blended in with the old knowledge which you already have from you life's experiences and learning.

Then the old and the new all become NEW knowledge and you start to develop INSIGHT. To put it another way, your mental capacity and your knowledge base is the sum of all the associations you have made. And there will come a time when, for instance, someone will say to you, "I have a crick in my neck." You may then find yourself quickly thinking, "Crick, DNA, Francis Crick,

"I will see you later if the crick don't rise" which a guy or gal from the rural Kentucky or Tennesse mountains of the East regions will immediately understand what is meant by that statement. Now, for instance, I hear people such as Dr. Robert Malone, or Dr. Chris Martenson use this term often. I have not a clue what they are talking about. When I had my small chicken farm in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee I often slept outside to listen to the sympony of the night sounds. How for a while there will be total silence. And then all of a sudden, like the burst of cymbals coming together - there is an explosion of noise.  And then, a minute or two later - all is silent again.

When I hear "crickets" mentioned - it is that real night-time experience that I immediately recall. If I did know what those doctors were alluding to, referring to, then I would have another association, another connection in the brains neurocircuits. The more neuroanatomincal connections we have the more associations we form. And at some point in time - a person will "discover" something new for himself. That is when you get the "Ah, I see it now." "I see what you are saying." Or, if you are left-brain dominated then you might well say, "Ah, I hear what you are saying now." The area in the human brain which neurologists associate with speech is called "Broca's region." It is located in the LEFT HEMISPHERE of the brain. Left is defined as the PATIENT sees it.

That's really swell. I now know where my mouth originates its sounds. Just as I know that the cerebellum is somehow related to human balance. Well, by the way, so are your big toes.

But let me toss a dead cricket into your morning coffee. From the experiences of severly wounded soldiers in war whose Broca region was perhaps damaged or destroyed - there are documented cases [as I have read this from books, that is how I know] where with prolonged and intense therapy and treatment - in some instances the "speech center" is somehow relocated to another part of the brain.  What does that tell you? For me, and I told Dr. Harte the same thing as he was sending me regularly his class lecture notes which incldued basic brain stuff, it tells me that the "brain - computer analogy" is inadequate.

The axion-dentrite model does bear similarity to an electrical circuit. Axions and dendrites do conduct electrical impulses. And electrical impulses and nerves do form an association. But add this to the mystery. There are cases where a significant portion of a hemisphere is seriously damaged or parts literally torn away.  That is war.  Yet in some of these cases, with extensive treatments, adaptions have and do take place.

Let me grab the sutra (and Vedanta Sutras literally mean, Binding threads of the Vedas) and tie it to a memory of an incident that happened in Spring of 1974. In my final senior quarter I was taking a laser & maser course and the lab instrutor was Dr. Jan.  He had rigged up a laser and a collection or mirrors the result of which he targeted a holographic plate and there suspended in the air was a fully three dimensional image of a chick. And you could walk around this image and see all sides of her as though she was a living being. No, one of the sutras was not a G-string and yes, at time - she was legally clothed sufficiently.  When I saw that, there in the laboratory, and then when he told me that even if you broke the holgraphic plate a piece that remained intack would still have ALL THE INFORMATION on that plate. The resolution would be diminished. But the INFORMATION was still all there.

I then said to him, Jan, that is the correct model of the human brain. Because when he remarked about how each individual piece of the glass holograph still retained the information - I imediately associated that piece of knowledge (this being NEW knowlege) with what I had retained regarding my readings on wounded soldiers and their partial recoveries (OLD knowledge and partial recovery being in effect lowered resoution).

This new knowledge and the old knowledge have now become all NEW knowledge - a new train of thought.

One last thought. Recently I read an article on the internet concerning intelligence. This article which I think I have posted elsewhere on this blog, mentioned that there was consideration that with each new added piece of knowledge in the form of learning - that the human brain's gray matter (the cerebral cortex) increased in density. That if this was so then you can expect that the brain would take on added weight. Extremely small. But nowdays there are scales that will meaure minute mass weight. Did I believe that? No.

Because the article did not mention the mechanism by which such a phenomena could take place. And it would be a phenomena. Because the human, and I suppose all living things this applies to (except politicians and people who live in the white man's house; Because all eveidence indicates, nay, shows, that these types that infest the areas around the cheap imitations of Roman architecture - function with dead matter shaped generally as that of a bird. And this explains why the Margaret Mead types have identified these bird brain types as evidently evolved from some hitherto unknown source, speculated to be bird dropping which, containing the necessary DNA partical bits - evolved from the bird excrement, nutured by the soil into which the droppings fell - to what you now see in the congress and in the white man's mansion.  That is to say, they are all derived from pieces of shit.

Without a logical mechanism which would have to explain how an electro-chemical induced electrical field which can be detected by the electroencephalogram was capable of turning energy into matter. And for that matter it begs the question, "what is mind?" Well, it is the absence of matter. That is, no matter.

The economy of the U.S. and Europe is collapsing. That doesn't mean chaos, riots, etc. though that could happen. What we are seeing in live-time now is a repeat of the 1929-1941 depression. Only this time it is going to be much worse for everyone.

But there will be work and there will be opportunity.

The young men and woman will have work. But if they set their expectations too high - that is, they grab for the ring insisting it be gold when all that is offered is brass - then they will go hungry. Your expectations must align with reality, the world as it is, not as we wish it to be

But what are old people to do? I am nearing 80 now so I think I qualify for that designation, an old man.  Well, each person's talents are different. Intelligence wise we are all more or less equal in our potential abilities. A lot of people think, "I am not intelligent enough, not smart enough to pick-up and learn something new, to begin again. Not at my age", they say to themselves. That is not true. This misconception comes from the idea, a myth in my opinion, of the IQ, a number that we are too often and foolishly judged by.

God, Allah, who is absolutely real, gives to each of us TALENTS - not measures of intelligence, as though one person here has a higher density level of gray matter, than the next person over there who has a as a finer protruding frontal lobe, a bigger cerebral cortex, etc. We do not differ, one to another, in inate intelligence . We differ in our talents given to us by the Creator. This is what is taught in The Parable of the Talents.

The expression of our talents is visible in our achievements.  And these achievements are reached when we each as an individual person has access to both intervention and opportunity. Those two elements are necessary but not sufficient. To be sufficient we each as a person must have the tenacity of a pit bull dog not to let go when opportunity does come our way. In plain words, education is a DOOR to opportunity. If we enter that door and grasp the opportunity - there is still another requirement you must meet if you are to succeed through the education path. That requirement is STICK-TO-IT-IVENESS. Or, I prefer the easier spelling as I was never much of a speller in English language. STICK-TO-IT-NESS.

What does that mean, stick-to-it-ness? Acording to this site it means "determination and persistence, especially in spite of difficulties; perseverance (wow, this is the really big - you gotta have this > steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement.

If you give up the fight - if you give up your struggle to reach the goal you have set for yourself - then you will FAIL. And with the economic storm clouds fast approaching - you are NOT going to have the big fat tit of the government to suck on for your necessary nourishment; not any more.

- move the political commentary, etc. also -

The American government is BUSTED, bankrupt as is the European EU and great Britain. And even the King himself has said, it is alleged, according to a chat room I listened to direct from London,

"I will not allow the "g", as in Great Britain, or G-string, be used in my kingdom anymore until the parlament publically tears down the facade we have errected and admits we are not what we pretend to be, something special, something "great" when in reality we are a "has been" nation. We have "shot our wad - big time."

Then The King elaborated to provide clarification to his people on the exact etymoilogy of the word and expression of "to shoot your wad."

"My people, my subjects of the lower classes devoid of nobility - I do not intend the meaning of the expression, 'to shoot one's wad' to be the same as that which We, and I use the Royal "We" intentionally [since it took me near all of my life time to get what I deserved all along, to be King for at least a day], now ascribe to our former and illustrious, shall I even say, BRAVE HEART prime minister, Tony "the Tiger" as he is sometimes called by those damn Americans, for his courage and stamina and indeed SPUNK or more descriptive, his PLUCK as the Americans define it, "to pluck a chicken of its feathers."

For in effect that is what our dear prime minister Tony the Tiger did to Serbia, plucked its feathers. How proud we are of Tony our puring Tiger, or her, or it, or however he wants to identify himself at any given time and place; whether it be to display himself in a Drag Show for the kiddies, or sit once again on the front bench with his other salacious minded cohorts.

As such I pronouce ex cathedra that Tony the Tiger, our illustrious and brave former prime minister is the spunkiest kid in London and shall hence forth throughout my Realms be known for evermore as Tony the Spunk Head. I affix the Royal Seal to his forehead.

They have all shot their wad, so to speak. The Republic of the United States of America (sort of united for now); the Flim Flam artist that make up the EU, and Britain the Lesser now.

First thing to know is that "shoot your wad" is an Idiom. It means much more than what the British mean when, for instance they say proudly that "Tony Blair shot his wad, let loose his spunk after bombing the cities of Serbia for 78 days continuous - he was that thrilled and excited at what he had accomplished.

Ofcourse this honor given to Tony is known to have other meanings too.

Intellectual attainment is NOT the measure of the man. Good. and ask then, what is.

We are often most vulnerable when we think we have everything under control. Lesson learned for sure.

- Move next to the section with Chad , the negro question, etc, and the theme that IQ does not measure intelligence but rather your ability to perform good or poor on taking IQ tests.

Who was "smarter" Mozart or Einstein? By what standard now are you going to apply to answer that question. But if I ask you, who had the greater talent for music? You surely do know. And question - who had the greater talent for very abstract reasoning in physics and advanced (really advanced!) mathematics? I am certain you can answer that question.

We each of us from early childhood are given a basket full of talents. We chose and also our life's circumstances often decide for us - which talents we will develop. What I am getting at and am going to tie it into Plan-B is this:

Most old people, seniors if you prefer, have many talents held in reserve. Kind of like an army that holds back its reserves for when they are needed. We who are old physically need not be old MENTALLY. We often impose on ourself that "we are too old to learn." That is simply rubish. It is an attitude that you need to throw out of your life like you throw out the garbage that you have accumulated.

Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt.

Our Doubts are Traitors"

what follows needs to be put into its own page along with the psychopathic stuff

approx 2023-aug-2

Well folks, the fools did rushed in with their "warp speed" crap and are now paying the price.  I like Trump (but am a lifer demo and think we would not now be near war had Hillary won. Why did he pull this "warp speed" on coming up with a vaccine of a coronavirus  when all he had to do was have one of his underlings look into the WHY there was no vaccine already for coronavirus family.  I will tell you why. He wanted to get RE-ELECTED and to hell with looking into anything else.

I don't think H. Clinton would have done this.  She has a legal mind and thus always thinks first, "what are the potential consequences if I go down this path or that path, use this legal theory or that legal theory. This is the fundamental difference. Trump likes to gamble. A good lawyer views a matter in terms of RISK ASSESSMENT which to be really honest - life is much more than THE ART OF THE DEAL.

Real issues in life require methodical reasoning; critical and precise thinking. Weighing risks based on such tools as statistical analysis and risk based calculations.  I just don't think Donald has the necessary mental acuity to be able to funciton in that way. Especially when on the world stage your thinking, your decisions may involve thermonuclear related decisions too.

I think it is with Donald that he already has too much Drusen over his eyes. He just doesn't have the central vision needed to make the really critical decisions that are fast approaching our shores. And he really is such a nice guy.

He reminds me so much of Willy Loman. What Willy Loman wanted more than anything else in life - he wanted to be LIKED. I mean, he wanted to be REALLY  LIKED. And that is understandable. We all want to be liked by our fellow man, fellow woman, and those fellows and gals, those also who are neutered and those who are spayed.

Our world has changed. But when the rockets 'red glare' when bombs  may be bursting in our air, our very own atmosphere, then you had better have a level and cool head at the helm. Someone who has the necessary training and experience to not lose his temper in front of the jury when a really big decision must be made.

People like Hillary.  She has legal training and thinks precisely as a lawyer. You don't write up an appelate brief and fill it with grammar and spelling mistakes and think the judges are going to accept it.  Trump is full of spelling mistakes and he doesn't even know it.  Trump's thoughts are organized like cloths in a dryer, they tumple all around.

Trump's problem?  In my opinion, he is not Gold. Brasso will make brass shine even to the glow of gold. Donald often shines as gold, especially in front of large crowds. Yes that is true.  But in the final analysis, He IS gold plated, (Au) certainly an 18k plate job, shines with lots of spick and span applied. Oh the wonders what Brasso will do for even the most tarnished of souls. But in the end, what did Willy Loman do. And he just wanted to be liked, really liked.

But I tell you this, and I know I am off-topic.  When the night time comes and the lights go out - then out comes the the cock roaches too in a Pomp and Circumstance Parade.  Like now, a quarter century goes by and now, with Trump announcing he is going to run again, suddenly a parade of rape victims is discovered hiding in the closet. Rule Britannia oh Proud cockroaches, Rule the Waves and crawl on the ground forever more.

Same shit happened to Bill Clinton, Justice Thomas and Justice Kavanaugh. Then Donald Trump and then again, Donald Trump. I mean to say the Americans, particularly the mass media (fully corporate owned, viz, no free press anymore)  and loathsome politicians on BOTH sides of the aisle are destroying your country

When I came to United States IKE was president. And the politicians ON BOTH SIDES of the AISLE spoke and acted in THE NATIONAL INTEREST.  I cannot remember when I last heard that phrase spoken.  I wish I had gone ahead when I retired and moved to  1st - India or 2nd. Serbia, 3rd. Russia where I could have been of real service in retirement, where old age is considered of value and a source for experience and wisodom gained, and not a waste product no longer fit to be used  for corporate America to maximize profits for those at the very top of the food chain. But consideration of wife's needs prevented that move; children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, etc., the things that really matter I guess.

The other thing that will do wonders for your eyes and heart is Qunol (means everywhere). Wife and I take 400mg/day of Qunol and have for years.  If you want to argue about it then argue with Steven Sinatra (Old Brown Eyes himself) MD, Cardiologist, asst prof medicince (ret) and publisher of books on health issues.  Also, for an indepth lesson on the gut-biom Dr. Gundry, MD, Cardiologist books are excellent. Again, I don't buy his supplements, I read what he has to say and then compare with what others have to say.

As regards macular degeneration?  The very very best source of info on the eye health you will find in book, ANCESTRAL DIETARY
