After a few weeks he and Margo were captured in Mississippi. A BRILLIANT LAWYER, as describned by both the Attorney General's office of Memphis, and similar accolades were brought forth by Mississippi and Florida, where other people were murdered - in the end Mr. Attorney Glenn Nash won his case in each of these states. So, if you are smart enough in manipulating the laws (and a lawyer would certainly qualify) and can get the psychiatrist on your side - then you can get away with murder.
